Stock Room Attendant
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with the #1 aluminum knuckle manufacturer in the world located in Auburn, Indiana. We are hiring a Stock Room Attendant to keep a continuous flow of high-quality castings by accurately providing and reporting the significant aspects of the visual, dimensional, and process information available.
Stock Room Attendant Job Summary:
$18/hour starting rate depending on experience
- 1st shift - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- 2nd shift - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- 3rd shift - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
- Must be able to train on 1st shift for about a month.
- Keep the Supply Store area neat and organized per 5S Standard.
- Assist in Shipping and Receiving.
- Receive/unpack and put away incoming MRO items.
- Maintain accurate Plex inventory by entering parts received and issued out.
- Conduct physical inventory (including cycle counts as assigned)
- Conduct daily inventory of assigned non-stockroom items.
- Prepare items for shipment as needed for repair or return to Supplier.
- Apply SDS labels to items as required by law for Hazard Communication/Employee Right to Know.
- Making periodic part runs if needed.
- Update and maintain the MRO system. (This is an internet-based system that is set up by an offsite vendor)
Stock Room Attendant Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school with related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minor mechanical troubleshooting ability and minor quality background in manufacturing
- Stock Room Attendant must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.; pushing or pulling 100 lbs. or more.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and complete visual inspections.
