Loan Officer Assistant

CrossCountry Mortgage in Denver, CO is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to support a high-performing team in delivering outstanding service to clients and referral partners throughout the mortgage loan process. The ideal candidate will have expertise in borrower interactions, credit assessment, income calculation, and utilizing LP and DU systems.

Responsibilities include file structuring, initial documentation collection, and ensuring file readiness for submission to Processing. We are looking for an individual with deep mortgage industry knowledge, a dedication to providing exceptional service, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

$60,000+ DOE + opportunity for bonus

• Taking leads from Pre Qualification to submission to Processing
• Serve as the primary contact during the contact-to-contract phase of the loan process and liaison between clients, and referral partners
• Create and nurture relationships with both referral partners and borrowers to draw in new business and retain our existing clients
• Take thorough and complete loan applications, gather all initial documentation to Pre Qualify the borrower, including credit reports, run DU/LP/AUS, prepare the file, and submit to processing with a thorough cover letter
• Fully structure, price and lock the loan

• Minimum of 3 years working within the mortgage industry
• NMLS license preferred but not required
• Preference for previous experience as a Loan Officer
• Familiarity with Encompass software is advantageous though not mandatory
• Proficient in running LP and DU
• Thorough understanding and confidence in various loan programs
• Extensive background in pre-qualifying and organizing loan files
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and works effectively as part of a team
• Passionate about delivering top-notch customer service
