TITLE: Student Affairs Compliance Officer, Contracted Hourly Position

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: President


HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Act as the network Title IX Coordinator
    • Advise building leaders on appropriate steps for Title IX investigations
    • Facilitate scheduling of interviews
    • Create appropriate documentation for Title IX investigations
    • Collaborate with legal counsel
  • Act as the network student discipline hearing officer
    • Advise building leaders on appropriate steps for student discipline
    • Facilitate scheduling of hearings
    • Create appropriate documentation for long term suspensions and hearing notifications
    • Collaborate with legal counsel
  • Act as the network 504 District Coordinator
    • Setting up 504 meetings with building leaders and parents
    • Creating 504 plans in PowerSchool
    • Monitoring 504 plan updates, implementation and annual reviews
  • Network Board of Directors Liaison
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Director for reporting requirements
  • Participates in professional development, maintains appropriate certification and qualifications and keeps current in changing pedagogy
  • Maintain confidentiality, while upholding FERPA and mandated reporting requirements
  • Perform other job relevant duties as assigned

HERE’S WHY WE’LL LOVE YOU

  • You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in education, human services or related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience working with youth in an urban setting is preferred
  • Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality
  • You have highly effective communication skills both in person and in writing
  • You have fantastic interpersonal skills and know how to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, parents/guardians and other staff
  • You have knowledge of resources to aid in student success both within and outside of schools
  • You know what it means to be customer-focused and results-oriented
  • You have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • You are reliable and have a solid record of timely attendance and punctuality

  • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to file materials
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Eyesight to read a variety of materials
