Quality Improvement Coordinator

Job Summary: The Quality Improvement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services at Marin City Health and Wellness Center. Under the supervision of the Quality Improvement Director, the coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating various quality improvement initiatives and activities. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Data Management: Collect, organize, and analyze data related to clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track progress towards quality improvement goals and objectives, providing regular updates to the Quality Improvement Director and relevant stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to FQHC regulations, HIPAA, and other quality reporting standards.
- Quality Assurance Audits: Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Training and Education: Provide training and education to staff members on quality improvement principles, processes, and best practices.
- Data Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit reports on quality improvement activities, outcomes, and performance indicators as required by regulatory agencies, health plans and funding sources.
- Quality Improvement Committee Support: Provide administrative support to the Quality Improvement Committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes.
- Patient Engagement: Collaborate with patient engagement initiatives to ensure that patient feedback and perspectives are integrated into quality improvement efforts.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Quality Improvement Director from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, or related field
- Previous experience in quality improvement or healthcare quality management preferred.
- Knowledge of FQHC regulations, quality reporting requirements, and healthcare accreditation standards.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.
Working Conditions:
This position requires to be on-site, with local travel to healthcare facilities.
