Senior Director, IT

The Hiller Companies, Inc., a national leader in the fire protection and security industry, has an immediate opening for Senior Director of IT in Mobile, AL.

Summary:

Responsible for defining the IT vision, strategy, and execution of all IT functions for the company. This includes the set-up of an effective IT-Business governance program, managing a portfolio of projects supporting all aspects of business requirements, and maintenance of new and existing technical solutions. Responsible for the system administration of the company’s ERP and managing 3rd party suppliers.

This is a hands-on working leader role.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with Business to digitize processes and services of the company
• Lead and support efforts to set-up and manage digital channels of business
• Provide thought leadership for Business Intelligence capabilities and support as required
• Manage IT personnel
• Maintain IT policies and procedures
• Evaluate business needs presented from users and recommend solutions
• Evaluate and approve hardware and software needs and present to management when necessary
• Maintain Segregation of Duties matrix and enforcement
• Responsible for all internal and external IT audits
• Maintain Company IT Help Desk and Resolve Issues as Required
• Provide functional support to the user community
• Manage and Administer Company Data Warehouse
• Manage and support the company’s ERP (JD Edwards E1)
• Provide first level database administration and system administration support
• Develop, evaluate, and approve system enhancements
• Develop and publish custom reporting as needed
• Manage external support resources

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of IT industry experience, ideally including system administration of ERP
• 5+ years management experience, preferably in IT
• Experience with JD Edwards E1 a plus
• SQL or other report writing language experience preferred
• Understanding of data and database structures; data warehouse development and Tableau reporting experience preferred
• Strong leadership skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Effective communication skills

Other:

• Must be able to travel (up to 25% travel) and have an acceptable driving record
• Lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, stooping and walking required
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening
