Window Treatment Design/Sales

Norris Furniture & Interiors is the finest home furnishings store in Southwest Florida. We are looking for a dynamic interior Window Treatment/Soft Goods Design Consultant who loves creating beautiful window treatments and overseeing a specialized department. We carry plantation shutters, automated screen shades and blinds. We design custom draperies, bedding, and upholstery to create stunning luxurious interiors for our clientele. We offer our Window Treatment Designers an endless stream of new clients, three beautiful showrooms, a custom drapery soft goods workroom, and an extensive fabric library.

Job Description:

Our Window Treatment/Soft Goods Design Consultant position is a unique opportunity, in a retail setting, for a design and sales professional who is passionate about window treatments and fabric. You will design and sell custom soft goods and assist our in-house designers with their design and sales of window treatments and bedding. You will have tens of thousands of the best fabrics and trims to choose from as well as access to every major hardware vendor. There is no limit to what you can design for our clients.

Window Treatment Consultant responsibilities include measuring, preparing quotes, scheduling installs, following up on POs, communicating directly with clientele and workrooms, working with beautiful fabric, trims and wallpapers.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of textiles
• Attention to detail
• Computer proficiency
• Math skills, including measurements and calculations of repeats of fabric
• Ability to draw simple scale drawings of window treatments
• Ability to accurately measure for window treatments
• Organized and detail orientated
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Able to handle several projects at one time

Experience:

• Window treatment and soft goods sales - minimum of 3 years
• Customer service and sales experience in a retail environment
• Sewing ability/knowledge a plus
• Design and decorating experience a plus

Education:

• High school or equivalent required

The ideal Window Treatment Designer is high energy, has excellent organizational and communications skills, a strong work ethic, loves details, positive attitude, has a successful background in sales and is looking for a professional home with a supportive management team. Previous experience with textiles, window treatments, soft goods, and retail sales is a major plus. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to work with our talented design team and to also develop their own clientele.
