Position Description

The Junior Business Analyst under Revenue Cycle will play a crucial role in optimizing our revenue cycle and strategic business processes by leveraging data analysis and reporting techniques. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. This position reports to the Director of Revenue Operations.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Function as a liaison and subject matter expert for Eleanor's revenue cycle team as it relates to data and analytics
  • Analyze revenue cycle data, prepare revenue forecasts, and perform trend analysis
  • Develop and maintain predictive models to forecast revenue cycle performance
  • Presenting revenue cycle reports and forecasts, as well as identifying opportunities to increase revenue
  • Interpret and communicate complex data findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Responsible for assisting the Revenue Cycle with analysis of key performance metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven recommendations
  • Creates and provides regular updates to reports which help identify and correct issues that are negatively impacting revenue
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing rigorous data cleansing and validation processes
  • Produce ad-hoc reports, strategic initiatives and decision-making processes, as needed
  • Work closely with IT and data management teams to resolve data quality issues
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, finance, and operational teams to understand business requirements and goals
  • Assist the CFO and Finance team with special projects as deemed necessary

Candidate Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience as a data analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or statistics
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle data analysis and interpretation
  • Proficiency in accounting, data analysis, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Superb analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong situational analysis and data-driven decision making abilities
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment

Preferred:

  • Revenue cycle experience preferred
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred
  • Experience with value-based care or alternative payment models preferred
  • Athena experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

The total target compensation range for this position is $55,000-75,000. The actual compensation offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
