Job Description

Mental Health Therapist (Licensed and Unlicensed)

We are looking for therapists (both licensed and pre-licensed) to join our high-quality outpatient mental health team located in King of Prussia, PA. Our private practice continues to expand so we are looking to be able to provide more support to meet our community's needs. The group private practice has an excellent reputation with local universities, physicians, and the general public among a variety of other referral sources in order to provide a steady stream of referrals. Therapists can develop a caseload tailored to their strengths or interested specialties they want to learn. The Mental Health Therapist provides outpatient counseling to clients and completes all required documentation to keep clients’ records updated according to legal/ethical guidelines of the profession as well as insurance company requirements. The therapist will strive to build a therapeutic rapport with their clients and provide appropriate evidence-based treatment. Licensed therapists have the opportunity to complete mentorship and/or supervision of pre-licensed staff. Unlicensed therapists have the ability to receive supervision and training toward licensure, as well as, be hired and fully credentialed once licensed.

Compensation: $30,000 - $35,000 for pre-licensed; $60,000 - $65,000 for licensed

Compensation:

$35,000 - $65,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health therapy to clients through individual, family, couples, or group sessions
  • Conduct therapy sessions with a variety of evidence based interventions and tailored treatment planning to individual needs
  • Provide case management services as necessary and/or communicate with other healthcare providers involved to advocate for other services as needed
  • Respond to client crises as necessary and make recommendations and ensure all company safety measures are followed; consultation with clinical supervisor to ensure crisis is handled appropriately
  • Assist with referrals or connection to appropriate levels of care, if necessary
  • Complete progress notes and other documentation to keep client’s record up to date within 48 hours of the session time
  • Potential to complete mentorship and/or supervision of staff
  • Support for additional training, consultation, and supervision for a variety of evidence based practices and room to increase exposure to a variety of treatment modalities
  • Ability to gain exposure and training to new areas of interest with practice support

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Doctorate of Psychology, or related field
  • Actively licensed or eligible for/working towards clinical licensure in Pennsylvania (LPC, LCSW, 6LSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist)
  • Minimum of one year of experience providing client service in an educational or professional setting (preferred)

Schedule Requirements

  • Full-time and part-time positions are available. Full-time: 25 client hours per week; Part-time: minimum of 15 clients per week; Pre-Licensed Associates are required to provide FT hours due to extensive training and supervision they receive
  • Flexibility to meet client's needs and maintain caseload requirements including some evenings and/or weekends

Work Location

  • Hybrid and fully remote options are available depending on qualifications/licensure status and schedule; Only those with full clinical licensure are eligible for hybrid/fully remote positions as pre-licensed are predominantly required to provide on-site services
