Job Overview

We are currently seeking Inspection and Quality Control Technicians for our sand plant facility in Goshen County, WY.  The role is responsible for performing various inspections, observations and quality control testing at periodic intervals and appropriately recording all information in accordance with Company guidelines.  This is an hourly, overtime non-exempt role working 7 shifts on/ 7 shifts off, either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, reporting to the Director of Plant Engineering.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities

• Promotes and follows all plant/MSHA safety requirements and guidelines.
• Models appropriate use of PPE and works safely. Trains others to work safely.
• Performs field and/or laboratory testing, observation and inspection of plant operations.
• Prepares daily written and/or digital reports to share observations and test results and ensures the records are appropriately filed and retained.
• Completes post repair inspections to ensure repairs are completed correctly and appropriately closed out.
• Assists in plant operations as needed.
• Other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials testing and observational inspections.
• Ability to follow hourly schedule for inspections and record keeping.
• Organized with strong attention to detail, particularly to testing and inspection protocol.
• Knowledge and experience with Office Suite, including O365, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Strong work ethic, reliable attendance.
• Strong relationship skills and commitment to continuous improvements.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently, climbs stairs/ladders, work at extreme heights, in confined spaces and walk on uneven terrain.
• Ability to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hi-viz vest).
