Shipper/ Receiving Associate

Shipper / Receiver II (Temp-To-Perm)

Location: Dracut, MA

Pay Rate: $21-22/hr

Notes:

• Need past experience in a capital equipment environment
• Main function will be Receiving, but should know how to ship also if the person needs to fill in. 
• The rate is $21-22 per hour. 
• Must have good computer skills and have experience with MRP/ERP software...hours 8-4:30 M-F. 
• Must have at least 2+ years of Receiving experience. 
• Reminder that temps do not operate company vehicles or cranes etc.  but this person should be able to pass a DOT physical to obtain a DOT card if and when the time comes to be converted to direct employment.

Reports to: Director of Mfg OperationsPayroll Status: Non-Exempt

Employees will execute their job duties in accordance with Dakota safety regulations, company policies, and ISO 9001 procedures.

Essential Job Duties:

Shipping Duties:

• Verify ERP work orders are completed correctly
• Perform all shipping transactions in ERP
• Uses FEDEX and UPS shipping processes
• Understand and uses Varian portal
• Package all orders for shipping
• Perform cycle-counts
• Interact with customer service for all sales order discrepancies
• Create purchase orders for all outside processes

Receiving Duties:

• Open and count packages
• Input receiving data into ERP
• Print out and place labels on packages
• Transport material to QC and stockroom
• Perform limited inspection of packages
• Contact materials department on all discrepancies
• Interact with outside drivers
• Inspect all receiving documentation (certification of compliance, packing lists, SDS, etc.)
• Ensure that all chemicals are received with SDS’s

Other Duties:

• Operate forklift/overhead crane
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

• Maintains proper housekeeping and safety standards; uses personal protective equipment
• Operates safely all machinery, tools and equipment
• May drive company vehicles

• Reads and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

instructions, and procedure manuals

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years’ experience as a shipper/receiver in a manufacturing environment
• DOT Card to operate crane
• Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software

• Valid driver’s license
• Forklift and overhead crane trained/certified
