Food Manufacturing Line Lead - $18.00 ($500.00 Sign On Bonus)

The Production Line Lead position is a "Player - Coach": our key, first line production leader role, responsible for working alongside and leading a team of Associates in all aspects of their production activities in an assigned area. The Production Line Lead will train, lead, coach and guide other hourly production associate teams under his/her area of responsibility in order to ensure the consistent, reliable completion of the daily production schedule and compliance with all quality control specifications and KPI's.

• Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00/hr
• Sign-On Bonus: $500.00*
• Pay Frequency: Weekly (Friday)
• Work Week: Monday to Friday (Some Saturdays)

Essential Job Duties

• Monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintained
• Must be able to rotate to all positions of the assigned production line
• Provide employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively
• Enforce plant rules, regulations, and procedures
• Participate in the support of plant and company safety programs, promoting and maintaining a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, etc.
• Must understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards
• Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
• Computer skills to complete daily reporting into the Batchmaster system
• Understand losses on the line and provide possible solutions to the issues
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Flexibility to overtime to meet production deadlines
• Must adhere to plant work standards, high quality and productivity standards per plant requirements
• Consistently meets internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect, and willingness to help and support others
• Treats all team members with respect
• Hold team members and self-accountable for all actions to include time keeping
• Listens to and follows instructions correctly
• Other production specific duties as needed

Education and Experience

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English
• 2 to 5 years or more work experience in food manufacturing strongly preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Can lift at least 10 lb. to 30 lb.
• Willing to work in a hot and cold environment.
• Able to stand, stoop, bend and lift for long durations of time.
• Ability to clear a background check and drug screen.
• Demonstrated successes and achievements in food (or other) production, worker supervision and related areas of expertise.
• Food manufacturing and/or culinary experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and individuals effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines with humor and grace.
• Prefer candidates to have a flexible schedule including weekends, off-shifts, and holidays.
