Job Description

Greetings all applicants!

Wayfarer Vans is looking for an enthusiastic - hungry for knowledge - seasonal builder. In this role, your typical week may look like spending four days in our shop assembling components for our camper van conversions. You’ll take the cut parts from our CNC machine and build components using hand tools - nail guns, sanders, and routers - to create the furniture that will be installed in our camper vans. You’ll complete your work with a high degree of quality and attention to detail, you’ll be a problem solver and a champion of safety.

You’ll also spend some days installing components into a camper van and interacting with our customers, aka Wayfarians. You may get to introduce them to their van, educate them on how to recreate responsibly and inspire them as they start their adventure in a camper van. You’ll also have plenty of time for your own outdoor adventures with options to work a flex schedule and enjoy a three-day weekend every week, or if you stick to the five-day workweek, you can head out at 1 pm on Fridays.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the outdoors and who is interested in coupling that passion with a career path. If you are curious about design, manufacturing, business development, branding, etc. or you just want to know the ins and outs of building a camper van, this may be the position for you. Ideally, we are looking for someone to fill the position from early May to September, possibly October.

Wayfarer Vans are committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

About Company

Wayfarer Vans is unlike any other camper van conversion company. We focus on our people, both internally and externally, and don't treat our customers like transactions. We like to think we are building a 'community' of van owners, supporting them in their endeavors and fulfilling the purpose for which they bought a camper van - from initial contact to rolling out the garage doors.

Our values are BASIC - Balance, Adventure, Stewardship, Integrity, and Community; and our Mission is: "To build simple, quality campervans that introduce and inspire connections to the outdoors and community." With how we conduct ourselves to what drives us, we wish to impart those values along to our customers as they journey into the wild - making connections with nature and others, living simply, and experiencing many adventures.
