Behavior Health Therapist - Children and Adolescent

As a Behavioral Health Therapist specializing in children and adolescents at ELFHCC, you play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals within this age group. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of behavioral and emotional issues affecting children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- LCWS, LCP, LMFT Licensure; 3 years experience post license.
- Act 33/ 34 Child Clearances; Act 73 FBI Clearance
- Experience 3yrs Child Adolescent
- Ability to work traditional and non-traditional hours
- Computer Literacy
- Bilingual is preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides 1:1 psychosocial counseling for ELFHCC patients.
- Coordinates and plans programs and activities to meet the patient's social and emotional needs.
- Collaborates with other members of ELFHCC's behavioral health to provide co-management activities for patients who require additional additional services.
- Complete a psychosocial assessment that includes social, economic, cultural, and age-related factors, history of the child, elder, or domestic abuse, prior psychiatric or substance abuse treatment, and family and social support systems.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, interdisciplinary plan of care that includes patient's preferences.
- Establishes a plan for regular contact with each patient to review progress and assess the potential for additional needs.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local assistance programs and community resources that affect patient's needs.
- Comfort with telehealth visits.
- Demonstrates expertise in accessing social systems by providing resource-specific information to patients and families, initiating contact with appropriate resources, and facilitating the patient/ family's ability to accept referrals.
- Arrange, coordinate, and evaluate services to meet patient-specific healthcare needs.
- Communicate with the patient's treating provider(s) when indicated.
- Provides information to the member/family in a manner that supports and empowers self-management.

CRITICAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Having empathy for working with adolescent children who suffer from trauma, and abuse and have been diagnosed with mental health concerns.
- Experience working with the healthcare needs of underserved populations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Physical Demands: Work is performed in a fast-paced office and community setting with local travel required. Physical demands include prolonged sitting/ standing and phone use. Lifting and carrying PR equipment and supplies (5-10 lbs) may be required.
Compensation: Salary range commensurate with education and experience.
