Team Lead - Food Production

WANTED - Team Lead for an Airport Catering company for JFK

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Food Production team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the production line and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You are the Champion of the Schedule! Food must be produced on time so it does not delay flights. You must ensure that all Production lines are meeting the flight schedules and intervene as needed to ensure the production line does not fall behind or catches back up to the timeline.

Duties:

• Coordinate and supervise the activities of production line workers
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and FDA regulations
• Train new employees on operating procedures and safety protocols
• Perform regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify any maintenance or repair needs
• Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or discrepancies to management
• Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and sanitation, to ensure smooth operations
• Implement measures to improve productivity and efficiency on the production line

Skills:

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team - keep the team on scheudule!
• Experience working in the food industry, preferably in a food processing environment
• Familiarity with food safety practices and procedures
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
