Job Description
Salary: $70,000.00 + DOE

JOB SUMMARY

This position oversees all aspects of the residential facilities with operational staff, ensures efficient operations of the residential program by supervising the department, coordinates all aspects of the residential portion of each program/location to ensure residents are comfortable and informed, and to ensure the efficient operation of the residential program by supervising residential staff, monitoring of residential activities and ensuring compliance with policy, procedure and legal requirements.


SCHEDULE: Salary position, Monday-Friday Day shift, 40 hours

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Director of Residential Services supervises the Manager of Residential Services, the Manager of Admissions and the Housing Manager.


DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Act as liaison between Residential Managers and clinical and/or administrative staff to ensure consistent and accurate communication

· Oversee apartment and facility cleanliness, and communicate maintenance issues to ensure safe and professional environment at all locations

· Ensure staffing and presence of front desk/reception, answer multi-line phone and route calls, and greet visitors and guest to provide welcoming and professional presence

· Oversee the management of 24 hour staff, assist in recruiting/hiring, delegating of tasks, creating work schedules, and provide feedback both informally and through written performance appraisals to ensure appropriate staffing levels and to provide staff with positive and rewarding employment experience

· Oversee the coordination of non-clinical groups to provide clients with complete and appropriate treatment and programming

· Document information, observations, concerns, issues and events in appropriate venue to provide accurate information to staff and management

· Delegate or schedule fire drills and other safety –related events as needed and ensures we collect proper documentation of events

· Oversee BHT management and tracking of daily duties

· Work alongside Manager of Nursing to manage safe staffing ratios and medical services

· Represent Residential concerns/observations at Staffing meetings

· Provide and maintain reliable and prompt attendance, with the ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity.

· Meet 1-1 with direct staff on a regular basis

· Oversees facility and client search procedures

· Rounding of each residential building regularly to check on staff, and the condition of client apartments.

· Oversee BHT meetings to include training and policy refreshers

· Complete chart reviews as assigned to by compliance officer

· Oversee the admission of clients to residential services regarding client appropriateness and staff abilities

· Ensure admission process is consistent among facilities

· Oversee the admission of clients to our residential housing program – recovery living

· Assist in operational improvements and efficiency among programs

· Work alongside facility clinical directors to establish consistent rules and procedures for residential clients regarding day to day schedules, activities and outings


PERIODIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform clerical task such as filing, faxing, copying and data entry

· May make change, run credit card payments and write receipts depending on program/location

· Fill in for direct staff when needed

· Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

· Requires bachelor’s degree in either Business, or any services-related field such as Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or any similar area of study, or equivalent work experience; and

· 5 years of work-related experience, with 3 of those years preferably being in leadership

· Must pass a background study and Urine Analysis 


REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

· May be required to have valid driver’s license and have clean driving record according to company insurance standards depending on program/location

· May be required to be CPR and First Aid Certified, dependent upon staffing levels

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret business communication

· Demonstrate high attention to detail

· Ability to use tact, diplomacy and influence to diffuse problems or difficult situations

· Ability to review and record data with high degree of accuracy

· Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral forms

· Ability to comprehend written and oral communication

· Ability to use established procedures and policies, along with independent judgment, in order to solve problems

· Ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and demands and manage time efficiently

· Ability to proof and check documents for accuracy

· Ability to establish relationships with clients, peers, and management

· Ability to type/keyboard with minimal errors

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation:

Frequently requires:

· Standing for up to 1 hour

· Stooping and bending

· Pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs

· Ability to communicate orally and hear/understand oral communication

· Ability to utilize fine motor skills, reach and grasp


Occasionally requires:

· Standing for more than 1 hour at a time

· Pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying over 15 lbs


WORK ENVIRONMENT This position works in an environment with few physical discomforts; may occasionally be exposed to dirt, drafts, noise, temperature variations and odors.
