Key Responsibilities:

• Inspecting incoming materials
• Inspecting parts during the manufacturing process
• Inspecting orders before they are shipped
• Prepare certification reports for orders
• Monitor safety in the work environment

Skills for Success:

• Excellent mathematical skills with full understanding of fractions
• Strong verbal & written communication skills, with ability to produce technical reports
• Extremely detail oriented and self-motivated personality
• Ability to work well with others or on solo projects
• Understanding of computer filing systems and Microsoft Office software
• A basic knowledge of light steel framing practices

Experience and Education:

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Experience testing structural products in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using measuring devices such as Dial Calipers, Micrometers, Squares and Protractors
• Experience operating metal forming equipment
• Print reading and drafting experience
• Understanding of metal forming equipment limitations and capabilities
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to maintain and promote positive morale
• Creative problem solving skills

Reliable transportation is a must along with being punctual. Steel-toed shoes are required. Hearing and eye protection are provided by the employer.
