YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

Join CPI as an RF Production Technician and be part of a dynamic team! This role encompasses various engineering tasks such as creating, testing, and assembling prototype electromechanical systems, conducting RF tests, and equipment maintenance. Ideal candidates should possess 5+ years of relevant experience, a trade certification, strong technical skills, and RF lab experience. Familiarity with the aerospace industry is preferred. Additionally, candidates should have basic electrical system knowledge, proficiency with tools and equipment, soldering skills, and the ability to fabricate hardware. US citizenship is required. YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Engineering tasks such as creating, testing, adjusting, and assembling prototype electromechanical systems, circuits, and specialized test equipment.
  • Conduct basic RF tests independently in lab and at Test Range.
  • Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic or electro-mechanical devices and systems.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and maintain equipment and systems as directed.
  • Prepare compounds and solutions as needed.
  • Construct, modify, debug, and test tools and equipment according to provided instructions.
  • Implement practical solutions for process improvement.
  • Conduct and document experiments under supervision.
  • Create basic tooling and fixtures for specific tasks.
  • Analyze data to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks based on instructions and schematics.
  • Write technical reports related to lab and test activities.
  • Assemble mechanical components for feed and antennas.
  • Provide guidance to other employees with similar duties.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Trade certification in a related field.
  • RF and Controls Experience
  • Must understand calibrations and track in-house RF test equipment calibration needs.
  • Strong reading and writing skills; technical writing experience is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry preferred; other relevant experience will be considered.
  • Must have experience with spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, VNAs, and other RF test equipment.
  • Ability to operate testing equipment and follow basic computer instructions.
  • Basic electrical system knowledge and ability to interpret schematics.
  • Proficiency in using related tools and equipment.
  • Soldering skills to meet J-std certification if required.
  • Ability to fabricate simple hardware.
  • General computer and test equipment knowledge.
  • US citizenship is required.
