Purchasing Agent Assistant

Purchasing Agent Assistant for Plants and Labs at a Chemical Manufacturing Company.

Need full time employee downtown Memphis on President’s Island with purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities.

·         Work with multiple venders to determine best deals for our company so must have good negotiation skills.

·         Make purchases for parts, supplies and equipment for multiple plants and labs to keep operations functioning on a day to day basis.

·         Pull orders from warehouse for various needs of plants/labs.

·         Work with management and contractors for plant repairs, builds and or improvements.

·         Keep track of expenditures to log in credit card log each month.

·         Must be a multi tasker, flexible and self-motivated.

·         Mechanical or Maintenance parts experience/knowledge is a big plus!

• Generate & maintain record keeping spreadsheets

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Previous purchasing experience a must
• Strong organizational & time management skills
• Ability to prioritize & multi-task
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent verbal & written communication & customer service skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must be a professional, team player who is motivated, dedicated & dependable

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift on site
• Monday to Friday
