Job Description:

A Studio CAD Designer utilizes computer-aided design software to create three-dimensional models of
complicated parts/systems. A Studio CAD Designer is a crucial part of any design team. They bring all the ideas of the team to life in a digital world. From there, actual physical prototypes can be manufactured, ultimately leading to full-scale production.

What you'll do:

• Incorporate Studio feedback into 3D designs
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers while advocating for the industrial design Studio Team
• Attend regular development meetings
• Revise models as requested
• Willingness to learn new programs (Alias, Gravity Sketch)
• Have the opportunity for professional growth inside a fast-paced and growing organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years optimizing A-surfaces for production in a professional setting
  (automotive/consumer electronic field)
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years using SolidWorks (Alias experience a huge plus)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and willingness to take ownership
• Patience to see a complicated project to the end
• Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
• Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time
• Team player, willingness to go above and beyond, and a good sense of humor
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and limitations (injection molding, thermoforming, stamping, etc.)
