THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Lab Scientist to join our team at our Acute Hospital. The Clinical Lab Scientist will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures in order to provide accurate and timely results to healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

- Perform laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and procedures

- Analyze and interpret laboratory results, and report findings to healthcare providers

- Maintain accurate and complete records of laboratory tests and procedures

- Ensure that laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated

- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities

- Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory tests and procedures

- Provide guidance and training to laboratory assistants and other staff members

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field

- Current certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
