Dental Assistant (DA or RDA)

Our small office is looking for a full-time Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental family in beautiful Coronado which is just minutes from downtown San Diego. Hours are 7:50am-5:00pm, Monday through Thursday.

We are a private practice that is dedicated to providing our patients with personalized, gentle care in a low-stress, family-oriented environment. We take pride in having an office that is filled with laughter and fun throughout the day. We are looking for an upbeat, highly skilled DA/RDA who can comfortably and effectively communicate with patients while providing excellent care. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, has a positive attitude, and likes working in a team environment.

Duties:

- Assist the doctor in all 4-handed dentistry procedures

- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups and ensure their comfort

- Select and set up instruments, equipment and necessary materials

- Sterilize instruments according to regulation

- Take digital x-rays

- Take impressions and pour models

- Make temporary crowns and be familiar with implant crowns (RDA only)

- Perform dental charting and record patient information

- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment

- Assist front office staff as needed

Requirements:

- Must have current DA certificate or RDA license

- 0-2 years of dental assisting experience

- Current X-ray certification

- Current CPR certification

- Coronal polishing certification (RDA only)

- Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures

- Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent attention to detail
