Homemaker and IHS Worker

Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as IHS and Homemaking Providers. As an IHS and Homemaking Provider, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism and provide essential support in their daily lives. This is a rewarding position that requires strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing quality care.

Duties:
- Provide direct support to individuals with autism and other conditions in their homes
- Support individuals in maintaining a clean and organized living environment
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences
- Medication assistance as prescribed and ensure proper documentation
- Report any changes or concerns of individual's health to appropriate personnel
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the care plan
- Assist with appointments or community activities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism related disabilities and mental health related disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of direct support techniques and best practices in home care
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families
- Understanding of behavior management principles and techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and provide consistent, person-centered support
- Proficient in meal preparation and adherence to dietary restrictions
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and documentation requirements

Must Haves:

• Ability to Pass a vulnerable adult background study
• Ability to work at a home with pets
• Give direction
• Report daily tasks and any relevant changes to the wellbeing of the client and home
