CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC Machinist - Level 3 – Setup / Operate / Program

Job Requirements:
The CNC Machinist Level 3 must be able to:

• Proficient in using MASTERCAM to program, set up, and run parts on DOOSAN LYNX2100LSYB MILL / TURN and PUMA V400MR machines with live tooling.
• Set up Machining Centers with Haas, DOOSAN, and Fanuc controls.
• Operate CNC Machining Centers and Manual Mills if necessary.
• Troubleshoot production and setup problems for a LEAN run.
• Using MASTERCAM to create CNC programs.
• Design, program, and machine part holding fixtures using MASTERCAM.
• Develop set-up sheets, blueprints sketches’ etc.
• Verify Step files, and CNC programs by running the First Article Part for QA approval.
• Able to use all types of shop floor inspection equipment to inspect parts.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is necessary.
• Keep machines, work area, and equipment clean and free of debris.
• MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS.
• Work overtime WHEN needed.

Qualifications:
Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A degree or diploma from college or vocational school in CNC machining is strongly

Desired and most preferred.
Experience:

• 5+ years setup
• 5+ years of MASTERCAM programming

Computer Skills:

• Familiarity with computers running a Windows operating system running standard Windows applications is desired.
• Proficient with CNC programming using MasterCam 20XX required.

Other Skills:

• The ability to read and write in English at a level necessary for successful job performance is mandatory.
