Duties and Responsibilities

Assessing the physical and emotional needs of oncology patients.
Developing and implementing individualized care plans.
Administering chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed.
Coordinating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Scheduling appointments for patients, including consultations, diagnostic tests, and follow-up visits.
Facilitating communication between members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Overseeing the scheduling of treatments, procedures, and surgeries.
Ordering supplies and medications needed for patient care.
Advocating for patients' rights and preferences within the healthcare system.
Helping patients navigate complex medical decisions and healthcare processes.
