Job Description:

Kaliber Management is seeking an ideal candidate that is analytical, possesses technical skills, and team oriented. This position requires and extremely high level of attention to detail. Successful candidates will be self-starters who take ownership of their work. Successful candidates will also diligently plan and follow a monthly accounting calendar and will take pride in providing monthly financials with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

• Manage the financial reporting process, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and make recommendations for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.

• Manage cash flow and monitor budget performance.

• Prepare forecasts and financial projections to support business planning and decision-making.

• Prepares monthly journal entries, maintains cost allocation spreadsheets, and updates as appropriate.

• Allocates all pooled expenses, such as salaries and common costs to the appropriate funding source and cost center.

• Uses allocation spreadsheets and trial balances to forecast future events and compare these results with the budgeted figures.

• Review daily bank entries and CC entries done by the bookkeeper and Finance Manager.

• Reviews general ledger activity for accuracy and necessary reclassifications.

• Provides reconciliations of various general ledger accounts for monthly close.

• Review preparation of annual Vendor tax report forms 1099s and filing.

• Completes any special projects as assigned by the CFO and management.

• Evaluate current policies and procedures.

• Responsible for the accounting, integrity, and control of all tangible and intangible assets and the corresponding review and post-accounting entries for depreciation, amortization, asset transfers, additions, and asset retirements.

• Sales and lodging tax reporting.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

• Expertise in QuickBooks Online (QB, QBO), QB Payroll, QB Time (formerly TSheets) a must.

• Experience with ADP

• Experience with Rent manager.

• Comfortable with Cloud Based

• Ability to work independently. Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure deadlines are met and work is complete and accurate.

• Adaptable to new technology.

• 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, or an accounting degree.

• CPA/CMA

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and organizational abilities, and effective negotiation and presentation skills

• Service-orientated, self-starter who possesses strong project management and system and problem-solving skills.

• Work on weekends and/or evenings may be required.

• Excellent communicator, verbal and written.

Desired:

• Computer literate with advanced proficiency in the use of computerized Excel spreadsheets

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in RV and MHP.

• Prior supervisory experience.

• Experience with intercompany accounting and financial statement consolidations.
