Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Commission ($25k-$30k, 1st yr GTD) + Car Allowance ($6k)

Field Sales Engineer, Wind Turbine Products (AC/DC or electrical components exp. req.) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Field Sales Engineer to add to their team near Milwaukee, WI to cover the Midwest Territory. You will serve an existing wind turbine customer base and will prospect among known end users. You will work to identify needs, recommend products based on technical discovery and validate product performance in the field. You will be climbing wind turbines to install the product for testing, so you must be OK with heights and working in all environmental conditions. To be successful in this role, you must have strong customer-facing skills, technical aptitude and a willingness to learn. The patience and ability to drive a long sales process will be essential as sales cycles and project timelines can last up to 1-2 years. This is a great opportunity with a growing organization supported locally and abroad with products available for a variety of applications and selling opportunities.

• Engage with new and existing accounts to increase product sales and grow market presence
• Manage long-term sales cycles (~2 years) and product development projects
• Travel to customer sites; educate on products available and provide products for testing
• Verify product performance with customers in operation
• Communicate specification changes in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering teams
• Collaborate with management to develop a strategic sales plan
• Present and participate in trade association events
• Assess market trends and provide market intelligence on competitive activity

Field Sales Engineer, Wind Turbine Products (AC/DC or electrical components exp. req.) Qualifications

• 2+ years technical sales experience required
• AC/DC motors and/or electrical components experience required
• Technical/mechanical aptitude required
• Must be willing to work/climb at heights (200+ foot ladders); certification required after hire
• Willingness/ability to travel about 50% (domestic and international) required
• Driver’s License required
