Dental Assistant Training Academy

Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC), in partnership with the Delta Dental Grant, is excited to offer an in-house Dental Assistant training program designed to provide students with on the job, hands-on training and prepare them to pass their basic skills certification test.  We will accept applications through April 29, 2024.

The Dental Assistant training program will begin on June 10th and will run for 8 weeks.  This is a full-time commitment with 5 days per week of trianing, however, Students will be hired as temporary, part-time staff and will be paid $12/hourly for 20-24 hours per week to aid in the cost of participating in the porgram. COMC and the Delta Dental Grant will provide for each student – Textbooks and typodonts to utilize during the program and to be returned at the end of the session, 2 pairs of scrubs, and will pay for the student to take the DANB Basic Skills exam within 30 days of graduation.  Graduating students will be eligible to apply and interview for any open positions with COMC.
