Extrusion Machine Operator - Thermoplastics

SUMMARY:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Schedule: 7AM – 5:30 PM (4, 10-hour days per week) Monday through Thursday. ½ hour for lunch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCITONS:

• Fabricate thermo-plastic products and/or materials that meet customer quality requirements.
• Ensure that accurate records of inspection, time and material usage are kept.
• Ensure that all process instructions are followed when fabricating customer parts.
• Maintain work area cleanliness.
• Maintain part traceability and identification requirements.
• Maintain raw material storage area in a neat and organized fashion.
• Perform all duties in accordance with specific Work Orders using proper equipment, material usage, packaging, etc.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety protocols maintaining compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Inspection product by means of visual examination, testing, verify measurements and documenting results.
• Other duties as assigned.
  QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and listening.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
• Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds. Frequently lifting/moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
