Job Description
A Quality Control Technician is responsible for maintain quality-assurance processes, testing products and recording and analyzing results data during product development and manufacturing. Reporting to Epoxy Coating supervisor, quality control technicians follow- through on set processes and ensure adherence to best production practices and product quality standards as well as monitoring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of product output.

SHIFT:
  • 1st shift 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri OT

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
  2. Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
  3. Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law.
  4. Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
  5. Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor.
  6. Collating test data and drafting quality reports.
  7. Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
  8. Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
  9. Monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience as an Inspection or Quality Technician or Department Manager
  • High-level of visual awareness.
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data.
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Possesses physical strength necessary to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of mathematical concepts.
  • Demonstrates solid problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse and factory safety procedures.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 Year Trade School or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Project Management, and Analytics software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
