Job Description

The Miracles Program Director will oversee operations of the Miracles Treatment Program including planning, organizing and directing the day to day operation of the substance abuse treatment center. This position will have thorough knowledge of alcohol and chemical dependency, co-occurring disorders, homeless issues, vocational service, and case management. This position ensures that the Miracles Program is providing high quality, evidenced-based treatment to individuals served in the program.

Experience providing supervision and evaluation of direct reports. Also, experience related to accreditation and State licensure. This position will be the designated administrator of the Miracles Residential Program and is directly responsible to the licensee in all matters related to the maintenance, operation, and management of the facility.

Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible for program operations and clinical care that align with policies and procedures of the Miracles Programs as well as the Siena Francis House.
  • Develops and updates policies and procedures as needed.
  • Responsible for staff recruitment in the Miracles Program including working with human resources to post openings, screen applicants, set up interviews, and check references.
  • Hires, supervises, monitors, trains, evaluates and develops direct care program staff. Training includes orientation period and ongoing.
  • Ensures the Miracles Residential Treatment Program protects and promotes the client’s health, safety, security, and well-being.
  • Maintain client services and ensure appropriate documentation of services per State and Federal guidelines.
  • Ensure State and Federal contract compliance.
  • Provides regular supervision and support for all assigned program staff.
  • Collects and monitors data needed for reports.
  • Leads and participates in quality improvement teams and workgroups.
  • Completes required monthly and quarterly reports for quality improvement, grants and auditing purposes.
  • Updates, develops, and completes forms for program needs.
  • Monitors and manages deadlines for reports, specific projects and tasks.
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings and organizes agendas.
  • Responsible for electronic client files, including electronic databases systems.
  • Develops chart quality standards and audits accordingly.
  • Responsible for program schedules, management reports, and program outcomes.
  • Work with other members of the management team to ensure successful communication and coordination between all programs.
  • Continuously evaluates programs and workflows and initiates process improvements.
  • Represents the Siena Francis House to various stakeholder groups in the community.
  • Works collaboratively with program staff, other agency staff, and agency leadership to achieve program and agency goals.
  • Networks with community providers and other agency programs in order to assist clients in accessing community resources and to promote Siena Francis House.
  • Assists Chief Program Officer and Grant Writer with researching funding opportunities and writing for grants.
  • The incumbent will share ‘on-call’ responsibilities and will be required to respond to emergency and other situations during and after normal business hours.
  • Will ensure implementation of the Siena Francis House’s policy Management of Suspected Abuse, Assault and Neglect. This includes ensuring that an investigation is completed and that steps are taken to prevent abuse and neglect and to protect clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required in human services field.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the substance field.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible non-profit program management experience as well as staff supervision experience.
  • Experience working in crisis setting with individuals and families.
  • Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and perform time sensitive work.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
