Description:
Essex Industries, Huntington Beach manufactures complex, tight tolerance parts, assemblies, and devices for the Aerospace and Medical market sectors. This requires skilled machinists with the ability to set-up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Lathe Machines.
We are seeking (1) Lathe Machinist for the 1st & 2nd shift.
Summary of Job:
- · Maintain and operate Okuma Lathe.
- · Produce tight tolerance, high precision aerospace parts.
- · Document product results for all components produced daily.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- · Operate and maintain machines, calibration, cleaning etc.
- · Control and adjust machine settings
- · Read Blueprints and specifications
- · Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
- · Maintain production logs (Traveler, Planning etc.)
- · Keep waste low, minimize scrap, account for all parts on jobs.
- Keep machinery and work area clean, safe, maintained, and organized
- 5-10 years of machine shop experience working with CNC lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Aerospace or medical device experience preferred.
- Some trade school education preferred.
