We are continuing to grow, and are looking for a Repair Technician Team Lead

The Repair Technician Team Lead is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and testing equipment for customer returns, but also acts as a process and technical resource to address inquiries, resolve problems and act as a communication channel, especially regarding resource allocations and prioritizations, performance against KPI’s, as well as any related obstacles, and related repair process topics. The Team Lead is also active in determining training needs and training delivery schedules.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Bench Technician Duties, including:
  • Diagnose and repair customer returns, including product configuration and tests
  • Oversee and endure the daily shipping requirements, as conveyed by Customer Service and specific prioritization plans.
  • Maintain and update all configuration checklists and ERP system data.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Exhibit good general inventory practices and assist in Year End Physical Inventory.
  • Offer technical assistance to field service technicians and customers, as may be assigned and approved.
  • Travel to clients and other locations as necessary and appropriate.
  • Team Lead Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling, prioritizing, and delegating work assignments within the department, ultimately responsible for ensuring that technicians complete assigned work.
  • Monitoring and ensuring department and individual work completions are consistent with time, training and labor content, materials and quality conventions.
  • Act as a primary interface with other departments to obtain necessary support and training for technical, process, quality and business requirements of the repairs group.
  • Proactively work with the Manufacturing or Hardware Engineering Department to implement the latest product revisions in repairs.
  • Arrange and support training on new products and product changes to the repair portfolio.
  • Creating and maintaining test fixtures as may be requested by Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Creating, amending, and ensuring compliance within the department of operating policies and procedures


Skills Required:

  • 5 years or more experience as a technician in an electronic repair or electronic manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years or more experience as a manager of people, team lead, supervisor, or equivalent in an electronic repair or electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with PCB assemblies and electronic equipment assemblies. Strong hardware troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read schematics and related technical documentation. Experience doing component level troubleshooting is beneficial. Current solder certificates and wire and cable harness quality experience are also beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with IT equipment such as Routers, Modems, Networks; cellular, Wi-Fi, other.
  • Experience working with computer hardware and software/firmware, including Windows Operating Systems. Experience with Linux OS a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations and the OSI Networking model.
  • Experience with Basic Windows scripting is considered beneficial.
  • MS Office applications, MS Office Suite, and ability to learn new ERP programs such as Microsoft Dynamics AX required.
  • Ability to work as a member of the team.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a complete manner.
  • B.S., associate degree, certification in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent preferred.
