Scrap Baler Operator

The Scrap Baler system includes a depalletizer, baler, air compressor, pallet jack, bale hoist with scale. The system is supported by one-way bale pallets, bale wires, and full pallet weight tags.

Requirements

• Forklift expereince required 2 yrs +

• The recording of details as found on the Ball can pallet tag’s information prior to putting cans into the depalletizer.

• All resulting bales must be weighed, and the weights recorded on the provided CTPS recording log.

• The entire pallet of bales must have the weight recorded on the corresponding bale pallet tag.

• Bale pallet weight totals must be recorded on outgoing BOL documents prior to shipping.

Safety

Safety is critical in all Adept HR operations and processes. PPE must be worn at all times. The depalletizer has the ability to be operated in an automatic mode – while the machine is in auto, it can start or move at any time. The emergency stop must be engaged before reaching into the depalletizer.

The Baler system as well is very dangerous to the unwary. Please pay attention to operating this machine. Safety is the number one priority!

Operational Guidelines

Version one has an adjustable sensor above where the unloading plate is. This sensor reads the top of the cans as the hoist lifts the pallet. This is used to adjust the machine to run different can sizes. This version has no sheet gripper system.

Version two has a fixed sensor reading the cans and operates off incremental sizes preprogrammed into the operating system software. You will select the proper size measurement for the can that should be processed and will have a minute size offset option on screen. This allows for the minor differences in the size of the cans to be taken into account. This version depalletizer operates with the sheet gripper system.
