Year Round Preschool Teacher - Crete

This is a full time 36 hour per week position.

DUTIES

• Develop and utilize integrated curriculum plans, which reflect developmentally appropriate practice, parental and cultural influences, promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of enrolled children, and support the programs school readiness goals.
• Manage daily classroom functions & facilitate team development.
• Collect, aggregate, and analyze child assessment data.
• Create an atmosphere that promotes and provides opportunities for parent engagement and community partnerships.
• Model sensitivity, build and foster relationships.
• Communicate effectively and professionally.
• Ensure the operation and maintenance of a safe, clean, healthy, and productive work environment.
• Maintain professional competence through professional growth and development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess or be willing to obtain the certification or degree as described in the current “Blue Valley Community Action Partnership Children Services Condition of Employment” and in accordance to the Head Start Act and State Licensing Regulations.
• Proof of High school diploma or GED.
• Proof of United States Citizenship, or national or legal permanent residency.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and access to insured motorized vehicle.
• Submit to an approved criminal background check prior to employment or assignment with no adverse findings.
• Submit to a Central Registry check with no findings of admission to, substantial evidence of or convictions of child abuse or neglect.
• Secure a medically approved Health Information Report and tuberculosis screening upon initial employment and annually thereafter.
• Obtain CPR and First Aide Certification and recertify as needed.
• General computer skills, computer literacy, and familiarity with various applications such as database, word processing, e-mail and internet, and the ability to learn agency-specific software.
