Job Description: Electrical and Mechanical Technician for IMS Robotics Equipment

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation and maintenance of IMS Robotics equipment. As an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical and mechanical tasks, including soldering, reading wiring diagrams, troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, utilizing computer systems for equipment management, scheduling repairs, contacting customers with estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized self-starter who is passionate about robotics and has a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs on IMS Robotics equipment, including troubleshooting, soldering, wiring, mechanical repairs, and component replacement.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and other documentation to understand the electrical and mechanical systems and circuitry of the equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies for the IMS Robotics equipment.
  • Utilize computer systems and software to monitor and manage equipment performance, track maintenance activities, and update records.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of electrical and mechanical components, tools, and supplies required for equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Schedule and prioritize electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks, coordinating with customers and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Contact customers with accurate and detailed repair estimates, providing clear explanations of the necessary electrical and mechanical work and associated costs.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates to customers regarding the progress of their repairs and ensure effective communication throughout the process.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, repair schedules, and estimated completion times.
  • Proactively seek customer feedback and take necessary actions to address any issues or concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members regarding electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in robotics technology, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical and mechanical systems or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, with a focus on soldering, wiring, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and performing mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for equipment monitoring, maintenance tracking, and data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Dedication to maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to electrical and mechanical work.
