Finance Manager
- $34 to $37 Hourly

- Perform duties of County Auditor in their absence.
- Assists with the development and setting of all taxing district levies, along with other taxing responsibilities.
- Coordinates preparation and completion of multiple financial reports per the Department of Legislative Audit and GAAP. Conducts regular analysis and compiles financial and budgetary reports including means of finance, revenue forecasting, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and annual operating and capital budgets.
- Assists the Auditor in coordinating the annual budget process by preparing by analyzing sources of revenue including tax assessments, preparing preliminary analysis for the County Auditor and Commission, preparing budget presentation materials, maintaining data and systems for budget tracking, and providing strategic recommendations to the Auditor on the County's financial position.
- Develop and maintain master files on grants and paperwork connected to programs funded by grants. Oversee grant management duties including the maintenance of grant records, reimbursement processing, recording and tracking of information, and the preparation of periodic reports for federal grants.
- Under the direction of the County Auditor, conduct studies of new and existing programs and special projects including budget and fiscal research and analysis, and proposed legislation to determine funding impact on County operations and financial accounting systems.
- Provide work direction and oversight to employees, and support workloads as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field plus three years of progressively responsible professional accounting work or comparable combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and budgeting processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Successful Candidates Will Also Have:Three or more years of proven experience in financial management, preferably in a governmental or public sector setting. Knowledge of government fund accounting and financial reporting. Knowledge of state laws affecting county budgets and financing. Previous grant administration experience. Previous supervisory experience.
