Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a buyer across all groups within the supply chain team including, but not limited to, Capital Manufacturing, Consumable Manufacturing, R&D, Innovations, Operations and MRO
• Manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure material is delivered to each team in a timely manner
• Ensure purchase orders match quotes and invoices 
• Partner with suppliers to resolve any issues pertaining to discrepancies, returns, or faulty product
• Help build relationships with existing and potential vendors, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential risks of working with these vendors
• Work with other supply chain team members to continuously assess in-house inventory levels of items commonly required for product development
• Meet compliance requirements and help to continuously improve supply chain process including costs savings
• Openly communicate with supply chain teams about potential cost savings opportunities as well as price increases that could result from various projects
• Fill in as primary backup for team members out on PTO
• Other duties as required

Requirements & Skills

• 3-5 years of supply management experience within a production environment
• Experience purchasing a wide variety of materials including biologics, fabricated metals, plastics, electronics, etc.
• Degree within Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics preferred
• Ability to communicate and negotiate with suppliers
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
• Proven ability to lead customer meetings, maintain composure and advance his/her agenda in complex situations
• Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite a must
• Previous experience using Business Central preferred
