Tool Shop Manager

Search Made Easy is partnering with a leading manufacturer seeking a visionary Tooling Operations Manager to optim descriptionize and lead their tooling and machining operations. In this role you will manage staff and infrastructure to maximize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities:

• Coach and develop tool room team, foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Control inventory costs through data-driven stock management
• Develop and manage maintenance routines and equipment procurement
• Enforce safety, quality, and industry compliance standards
• Implement process enhancements like 5S, automation, IoT to boost productivity
• Lead change management and adoption for new technologies
• Strategize capital projects and infrastructure upgrades
• Optimize labor efficiency through scheduling and capacity planning
• Plan and direct workload, staffing, machinery to meet production targets
• Solve problems proactively through root cause analysis and experimentation

You Will Excel In This Role If You Possess:

• Management acumen with 5+ years in a manufacturing leadership role
• Deep expertise in tool room machining and quality management including progressive stamping
• Data-oriented mindset with knack for process improvements
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming
• Leadership abilities and change management prowess
• Understanding of ISO, IATF, safety, environmental standards
