QA Analyst III

Election Systems & Software, LLC is looking to fille one QA Analyst III position in Omaha, Nebraska. As a QA Analyst you evaluate software and firmware, testing to verify that functionality is aligned with specifications and standards. A QA Analyst runs tests on new or modified software programs to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. The essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Strong understanding of our products, processes, tools and technology.
2. Identify, analyze, and document defects, inconsistencies, and other issues in software and firmware.
3. Represent quality assurance team during product design discussions.
4. Own the effort to document, track, and communicate software test plans and test results.
5. Participate in Agile ceremonies, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
6. Leverage excellent communication skills to build trusting, collaborative relationships.
7. Independently conduct integration testing, integrating various software and hardware/firmware in networked and non-networked environments.
8. Establish department processes, standards, procedures and practices.
9. Actively participate in skills training (languages, design methodologies, and technologies) in order to continuously grow as a QA Analyst.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer engineering, computer science, management information systems, or a related field is required. Specific experience must include the following:

• 3 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
• 3 years of strong experience executing test cases and recording test case results and analyzing requirements documents.
• 3 years of demonstrated experience in UI automation tools such as Selenium, Testcomplete, etc.
• 3 years of experience with scripting languages such as Javascript.
• 3 years of experience with testing APIs using tools such as SOAPUI, Postman.
• 3 years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
• 3 years of experience participating in Agile ceremonies, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• 3 years of experience owning the effort to document, track, and communicate software test plans and test results.
• 3 years of experience documenting and tracking defects as well as producing detailed reports using defect tracking tools like Jira.
• 3 years of experience using Chrome developer tool to debug issues at UI/API level.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The occupation will require national travel of a short duration approximately two (2) times per year to customer locations. Less than 10% travel is expected dependent on business needs. (may telecommute as well).

RATE OF PAY: $73,320 - $93,000 per year Current employees eligible for referral bonus as per company policy with regard to this position
