Registered Dental Hygienist

Private General Practice seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, conducting patient assessments, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Duties:

- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and taking X-rays

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for improving dental health

- Administer local anesthesia as needed

- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes

- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

Qualifications:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program

- Knowledge of dental office procedures and practices

- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation for insurance purposes

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
