Mental Health Camp Counselor - per diem

Job Description:

Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to support children who are attending summer camp? This per diem position offers flexible days and hours for the summer of 2024. You will be joining children at a variety of camps around the Manchester area to support the child’s success with camp attendance and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children with behavioral and/or emotional needs while they are attending camp.
• Communicate with camp staff about the needs of the child.
• Collaborate with clinicians and providers working with the child and their family
• Facilitated groups and activities addressing mental health needs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong communications skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Experience:

Experience working with children is required. Experience working with children and/or families with mental health challenges is a plus.

Education:

At least a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field is required. Candidates with master's degrees in social work, counseling, or related field are also welcome!
