Position Summary: Under limited direction continually researches, develops, conducts, tracks, and assesses employee learning, training and education programs designed to support Westmark's strategic goals and initiatives.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Manages the internal (and external as needed) training and professional development of all new and existing employees to ensure adequate knowledge of policies, procedures and programs.
- Oversees the development and delivery of credit union training.
- Researches, develops, designs, and delivers training and materials for classroom, e-learning, and blended presentations. Topics include, but are not limited to: new employee training; specific job knowledge; leadership; inter-personal and team building skills; and credit union products, programs, policies and procedures.
- Conducts regular needs analysis to identify performance gaps and ensure learning solutions support the development of learning objectives.
- Develop and create performance support/job aides.
- Designs and utilizes multiple techniques such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussion, multimedia, visual aid and lectures to facilitate individual and group training sessions.
- Conducts regular review of training courses to ensure content and materials are accurate, up-to-date, and provide appropriate level of detail. Partners and maintains strong relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to review and revise material and incorporate feedback, as necessary.
- Evaluate training needs to support the development of learning objectives; collaborate with managers and subject matter experts on the learning objectives, content, and delivery of proposed courses.
- Provide training support for new products and services.
- Conduct customized training as requested by branch or department managers.
- Partner with manager and employee subject matter experts as needed to facilitate or assist with training.
- Oversee CUNA CPD training for all employees including assigning annual required courses and courses for new or transferred employees.
- Perform any and all duties as required by the CPCO.

Requirements
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Above average knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe
- Great working knowledge of Articulate Storyline or other eLearning content authoring tools
- Strong facilitation and training skills with the ability to present, speak, and deliver engaging training programs to small and large groups.
- Experience with blended learning and the different avenues to deliver training.
- A general understanding of all credit union products, services, systems, and policies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to develop and maintain professional relationships with management and employees
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two years of relevant training experience, or;
- A combination of formal education, banking or credit union experience, and at least 2 years of training experience
