Quality Technician/Cut and Etch - 3rd Shift

Metro Services is seeking to immediately hire a 3rd Shift Quality Technician/Cut and Etch for an Automotive facility in Dacula, GA. This is a local temp/contract to direct hire positions. Apply Now!

Duties for this position include:

• Conduct acid-etch on welded parts, including the polishing of the part
• Operate various test equipment and machines to verify reliability of parts as required, and maintain accurate quality records
• Maintain all documentation and/or paperwork relevant to day-to-day activities
• Assign all rejected material to appropriate areas
• Analyze rejection reports and conduct analysis to determine root cause
• Report any discrepancies on non-conformances to management
• Assist in implementing Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and maintain reports
• Assist in establishing the standard process parameters
• Participate in providing suggestions to reduce costs and improve processes
• Administer quality assurance inspections and tests on materials, products, components, parts and process according to established quality control methods to ensure quality standards as per customer requirements

• Ensure he/she is in full compliance with U.S. and/or state laws, while representing company or during the use of any company provided equipment
• Contribute to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to

Compensation (USD):

$20.00/hour

Schedule:

3rd Shift

Monday - Thursday

7:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Clean Background/Drug Screen
• Minimum 1 year work experience in automotive/manufacturing industry
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in a Quality Assurance environment
• Knowledge of various testing methods (i.e. reliability testing, hardness tester, caliper, micrometer, etc.)
• Operator level of CMM using PCDMIS software (Desired)
• Minimum 1 year of experience with power tools using Sawzall, Bandsaw and other cutting tools for metal
