Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work on projects related to migration from QlikView to ms Power BI.

• Understand business requirements to set functional specifications for reporting applications.

• Create or assist the team in creating new visualizations in Power BI to replace and/or enhance current visualization.

• Create of new dashboard in Power BI.

• Apply in-depth knowledge and experience with Power BI stacks (Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS) to create data sets in Power BI to replace exiting enterprise data sources.

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis.

• Performing data analysis, data modeling, inferring data trends, communicating to stakeholders.

• Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI.

• Work on other ad hoc projects as required.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects.

• 5+ years of experience working with Ms BI Stack: Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.

• 3-4 years of experience with a self-service tool such as Power BI or Tableau.

• Ability to work in large, complex development BI projects environments.

• Understanding of JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and other JavaScript libraries.

• Proven and extensive experience in BI tools and BI systems (Power BI and Qlikview required.)

• Implementing Row-level Security (RLS) in Power BI, writing DAX expressions, and developing custom BI products with scripting and programming languages such as R, Python, etc.

• 3rd party tools used in conjunction with Power BI for better visualization and data strategy.

• Building highly interactive and data rich financial dashboards and charts.

• Data Modeling, DAX, and SQL.

• Tabular cubes experience.

Desired Skills:

• Tableau, SAP etc. beneficial.

Education:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science or information system, along with work experience in a related field.
