Phlebotomy Technician Instructor, Part-Time or Full-Time

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for teaching. Must have two years of experience in the phlebotomy technician field.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Teach phlebotomy courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor
• Prepare and grade written and practical examinations
• Attend faculty meetings, in-service meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other events as required by the College
• Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code
• Ensure that the quality and quantity of instruction provided in the classroom are consistent with the stated objectives of our school and industry.
• Ensure that the classroom and the school’s atmosphere are conducive to maximum learning and retention of students.
• Instructing students during the classroom experience
• Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information
• Administering final exam (written and/or practical) on the last day of the module
• Submitting final course grades before the end of the week after the end term
• Other duties as assigned by the department's program chair

Experience

• Minimum of two years of non-overlapping experience in the field with diploma, degree, or certificate
• Minimum of three years of non-overlapping experience in the field without a diploma, degree, or certificate

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques

License/Certification

• Must be willing to take the CPT exam if you are not certified and obtain a lab assistant license if it is not active
• Lab Assistant License – can obtain following employment, must meet qualifications

Education

• PREFERRED: Associate’s degree, but not required

Salary

• Part-Time $27,600 annually
• Full-Time $46,000 annually
