Groove Toyota is hiring an experienced Automotive Recon Technician to join our team in Englewood, CO. Sign-on bonus of up to $5k or relocation assistance for competitive candidates! Pay range is based on experience and qualifications: $70,00 - $110,000 per year

Position Overview:

The Reconditioning Technician is detail-oriented and helps prep and clean cars for delivery and cleans incoming trade-ins before being put up for sale. They are also responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by dealer and factory standards. They will also oversee the results of any apprentice technician assigned to them.

Essential Functions:

  • Receive repair orders from the dispatcher.
  • Perform work as outlined on the repair order efficiently and accurately, according to dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is unnecessary or required and if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Document work performed.
  • Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, remember that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands.
  • Supervise the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
  • Authorized to work in the United States
