QC Technician

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting all tooling (punches, dies, and fixtures) to specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements before sending to the shipping department. The Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and contributing to continuous improvement. This role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to use precision measurement tools and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive finished product and print specifications from supervisor.
  
• Conduct a visual inspection of all tooling for nicks, scratches, or imperfections.
  
• Spot-check all dimensions to make sure all print-outs are correct from the shop floor.
  
• Do a final inspection of all finished items in the company's manufacturing facilities.
  
• Makes notations on inspection reports for specifications that do not comply with the print.
  
• Checks first piece of new set-ups when required.
  
• Record any inspected tooling that does not conform to print specifications.
  
• Report any needed repairs to the appropriate supervisor.
  
• Complete computer reports to be sent to customers when required.
  
• Check inspection measuring tools and devices with those used in the manufacturing lines as required or deemed necessary.
  
• Cleans inspection measuring and testing equipment and devices and make simple adjustments to inspection tools and gauges.
  
• Communicates with co-workers, and supervisors to receive instruction and coordinate work activities.
  
• Keep workspace clean and neat at the end of each shift and/or day.
  

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing or quality control preferred.
• Previous experience in quality control, preferably in a tooling or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments; such as eye loupe, gauges, micrometers, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
• Ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions.

Working Conditions:

• This role may require standing for extended periods, lifting heavy tooling components, and working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses, ear protection, and safety footwear.

Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 hourly based on your education, skills, and experience.
