Correctional Health Services of San Mateo County Health is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Charge Nurse - Correctional Health Services.

The Charge Nurse will, under general supervision, coordinate the functioning of the medical clinic and the operation of nursing services offered at the Maguire Correctional Facility; supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing staff and may perform all aspects of patient care; and participate in the development and implementation of unit or clinic goals. The current position is for a full-time Charge Nurse - Correctional Health (RN) opening on the PM Shift.

The ideal candidate will have recent Correctional Nursing experience; management/supervisory experience in a correctional health setting; worked collaboratively with Public Health, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, Sheriff's Office and Probation departments; conducted budget preparation and monitoring; and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

· Possession of a California license as a Registered Nurse.

· Possession and maintenance of BLS certification.


Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
