Tax Accountant

Position Overview:

Our primary focus is small business clients and individuals generally within the local area. Our services include accounting, tax, consulting, payroll and write up.  The Tax Accountant/ Manager will prepare income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts/estates, and individuals. The Tax Accountant/ Manager will oversee general ledger, payroll services performed by other staff members as it relates to the ongoing tax and managerial consulting for our CAS (Client Accounting Service) clients.  The position entails direct client interaction.  From the beginning, you will be a part of a mentoring program in which you will be working side by side with experienced staff and principals who are committed to both your success and the firm’s.  Current Platform – Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting Suite, Checkpoint Edge, Go File Room, MS 365.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting or business administration
• 3+ years of experience
• CPA Certification Required

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients
• Capacity to perform responsibilities independently and in a team environment
• Current
• Superb organizational skills
