Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for supporting warehousing and inventory control activities, specifically labeling of material receipts, inventory verification and other warehouse related tasks. The essential duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of those required on the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Verify materials in the warehouse are properly labeled and match the ERP system quantities.
  2. Verify the bin location in the ERP system matches the physical location of the material.
  3. Generate labels for each container, bag, tote, etc. with appropriate load number, vendor lot number, PAI item number, that matches the ERP system upon incoming receipt. Ensure that each container already in-house has the appropriate labeling.
  4. Oversee that proper receipt documentation i.e., COA, CoC is received. The material is placed in the electronic system and each container labeled.
  5. After labeling is complete, notify QA/QC for sampling.
  6. Review location placement by warehouse of the material for accurate bar code location scanning. Locations may not be available therefore floor locations will be allocated.
  7. Research and resolve problems or incidents that will or could affect the integrity of the inventory.
  8. Coordinate process for return-to-stock items upon completion of production orders, including verification that material labels returning from Compounding are accurate and reflect the proper ERP quantities.
  9. Complete cycle count process for both Receiving and Shipping storage locations.
  10. Audit receipt of inbound materials and audits movements of outbound materials to ensure accuracy of data reconciled in the Warehouse Management System.
  11. Monitor raw material and finished goods expiration dates, acting as a liaison between Quality and Supply Chain.
  12. Assure sufficient packaging and raw material availability to support manufacturing and packaging schedules.
  13. Participate in the annual full physical inventory process.
  14. Must be a self-starter who’s able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  15. Ensure compliance with all company cGMP and DEA requirements.
  16. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma/GED, previous office and warehouse experience preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

This position requires the individual be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Computer proficiency is required, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred, especially Excel. Standard office equipment is used.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is 100% on-site.

Ability to lift to 50lbs. This position uses a forklift. Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk and hear, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Typical office environment requiring the use of typical office equipment (e.g. computers, phones, etc.).
